FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does the hair last?
Extension hair can last anywhere from 8-11 months depending on how well you take care of the hair. Proper brushing and adding oil are essential.
Can you see the extensions?
They are installed in a way that allows your natural hair to cover the wefts whether you style it down or up. However, it depends on the density of your hair, how you style your hair, as well as the length of your current hair.
Will extensions damage my hair?
Extensions are only damaging if they are installed incorrectly, removed incorrectly, not taken care of, or maintained properly. You won't have to worry about that here because, during your appointment, I will walk you through every step on how to ensure the best longevity out of your extensions.
Will my hair be super long?
That is completely up to you! I offer extensions for length, density, style, or a combination of all 3. I am able to get high-quality hair for you at several lengths to meet whatever your needs may be and I am your expert on blending for a natural result.
What’s the daily maintenance?
You can wash, blow dry, straighten, curl, or put them in any up style like regular hair! All of my extension clients receive a style/care guide, but here are a fey key tips:
- Brush them morning, night, and before showers, so they don’t get tangled or matted.
- You must use salon exclusive products that are paraben and sulfate free, low to zero alcohol content, and lightweight but effective (Ask me for specific products)
- Keep heat settings for hot tools and blow dryers on medium and use a heat protectant.
How often do I need to get them moved up?
Depending on how quickly your hair grows, thickness of your natural hair, how often you wear your hair up, lifestyle, and whether the extensions were chosen for functionality or for luxury, it can be anywhere from 6-8 weeks, anything longer may result in damage to your hair.
How do you sleep with extensions?
Sleeping is easy peasy when it comes to extensions. Pull your hair back into a low pony or loose braid. For optimal results, sleep with a satin pillowcase and use a silk bonnet!
How much will my extensions cost?
Extensions range anywhere from $1000-$2000+. I only use high-quality hair and methods that won't damage your hair. You're investing in a superior product and application method when you work with me.
Any additional questions you may have can be asked at your in-person consultation.
Can I swim with them?
You can swim with extensions just make sure you have leave-in conditioner in your hair and your hair is in a braid or bun and not freely down. If your hair is down it will get knotted, tangled, and can become matted. The leave-in conditioner will help keep your hair moisturized, soft, and protect from potential damage.
How soon can I get in after my consult?
I typically can get you in anywhere from 1-3 weeks. However, if your schedule is very limited it could be 4+ weeks. I also will put you on my cancelation list, so if anyone cancels before your appointment I can get you in sooner!
